Assistant Race Engineer
The Assistant Race Engineer will assist in the development and implementation of proper setup specifications for all race and test cars and work to enhance race car performance by assisting race engineers at the race track and the team's headquarters while also overseeing the progress of the team's IndyCar program as a technical liaison.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely-related field is required. 2 years of engineering experience in a top level international racing series such as IndyCar, ChampCar, Formula One, Le Mans and American LeMans, or equivalent racing series is required. Additional experience must include thermodynamics; aerodynamics; wind tunnel testing and application; shock absorber building and development; 7 post testing; data acquisition interpretation, application; software writing; data logging and telemetry systems; and Pi Sim vehicle dynamic simulation software. Frequent travel required. Must have ability to lift and handle up to 115 pounds. Must have current authorization to be permanently employed in the United States.
